I'm so excited to report that as of today the clothing request for Homestretch has been filled! Thanks to everyone who participated - in a small way, you've made a big difference to one local family.

And I've received a request from another organization which I will post later this week.

In the Homestretch for Homestretch

We are so close to fulfilling the request for fall/winter clothes for the family with 5 young kids. Items we still need include:

1- girl, age 6, size 6: Warm PJs, socks, 1 sweatshirt or sweater, hat/gloves

2 - boy, age 4, size 4T: Warm PJs, socks, winter coat, hat/gloves
3 - boy, age 3, size 4T: Warm PJs, socks, winter coat, hat/gloves
4 - boy, age 2, size 2T: Warm Pjs, socks
5 - girl, 9 months, size 12-18 months: Winter coat & hat, warm PJs, socks

Fall/winter clothes

A single mom of 5 little ones needs fall and winter clothes for the kids.

1- girl, age 6, size 6
2 - boy, age 4, size 4T

3 - boy, age 3, size 4T

4 - boy, age 2, size 2T

5 - girl, 9 months, size 12-18 months

New or gently used coats, hats, gloves, pants, sweaters, socks, long-sleeved shirts, etc. You can also contribute gift cards.

How it Works

Here's how this works. I'll post specific needs from organizations in the DC area - these will be specific and tangible needs from real people in need (via legitimate non-profits). You choose the ones that are of interest to you and use the comment feature or e-mail to let me know you'd like to fulfill a posted need. I'll post a comment when a specific need has been fulfilled.


All donations will be tax-deductible and I'll handle as much of the pickup/drop off as I can.
